Just as a necklace, scarf or belt dresses up a simple sweater, accent tile definitely dresses up field tile and adds a specialized touch to bathroom design projects. Linear, mosaic or mini brick accent tile can take a backsplash or shower surround to a sophisticated level.
Favorite combinations for recent bath design projects include white, beige or gray color schemes with 10” x 14” or 12” x 24” field tile, 3” x 6” subway tile, and accents that combine glass, metal and natural stone.
Projects completed in 2016 include a beautiful master bathroom with dark cabinets, light gray field tile and linear mosaic accent tile, a guest bath in taupe colored field tile and earth toned accent tile, and a contemporary master bath with vertical pebble accent tile that coordinates with shower floor tile.
