I’m looking forward to several events and programs at Boston Design Week 2019, scheduled for March 27 – April 7. There are many, many great looking events, and some that stand out include those that pay tribute to the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus Movement, such as an exhibit at the Harvard Art Museums and tours of the Walter Gropius house in Lincoln MA. Additional interesting listings include a screening of the film “The Human Shelter” at the Scandinavian Cultural Center in Newton on March 30, a Vintage Modern Design Open House and tour of Skinner Auctioneers and Appraisers in Marlborough MA on March 30, and several timely and informative events at the Boston Design Center and/or the Innovation and Design Building on April 3 and 4. Tours of WGBH and its state-of-the art building and studios look good too!
Design-X-Change at Suffolk University on April 4 also looks really promising. This annual Sustainable Fair “provides an interactive showcase for materials, products and services. This year’s event will allow visitors to meet representatives form a variety of Boston based material and furnishing companies who hope to share their newest innovations in sustainable design.”
All in all, Boston Design week 2019 offers an excellent line up of events, seminars and learning opportunities.
