I gladly incorporate plantation shutters as interior window treatment solutions whenever I can. They add a fresh and tailored look to all sorts of windows. I especially like to use them in bathrooms or powder rooms, where the windows are usually not that large and where plantation shutters contribute a clean, uncluttered, low maintenance look. On the other hand, plantation shutters also work well on large windows in bedrooms, offices, dining rooms, family rooms or living rooms, and allow varying degrees of ventilation, privacy, light control, and even insulation. They can be used in traditional or contemporary settings, in painted or stained finishes, very successfully. Although they’ve been in use for hundreds of years, plantation shutters add up–to-date style.
