Time for leaf peeping drives, mulled cider, mums and pumpkins! What would autumn be without pumpkins and the color pumpkin? It’s actually a great interior color year-round. It makes a beautiful backdrop for gray, beige, brown or black upholstery and accent pieces, and plays off soft greens and blues very well. It is understated but can warm up a room, as an alternate to traditional burgundy or deep red. It plays off either white millwork or stained wood trim very well. Pumpkin-colored walls relate to earth tones found in many contemporary or transitional area rugs, and provide a great contrast to natural materials such as gray or multi-color natural slate, gray granite and limestone. All in all, pumpkin creates vibrant and fresh results.
