Here’s a look at some unusual and beautiful kitchen granite selections for recent kitchen and bath projects I’ve worked on. These granites feature distinct patterns or features with lots of personality.
Picasso – tones of deep gray and beige, with a large scale pattern in a chunky, patchwork look. Great for casual kitchens with off white cabinets and stainless steel appliances. Picasso features angular sections of color created by the way molten magma intrusions have settled and cooled. Really interesting texture!
Jet Mist (Honed) – soft dark gray, almost black granite with a soapstone look. Another great pick for casual kitchen counters and for fireplace surrounds. Many slabs of Jet Mist feature gray or white streaks that soften the look and are reminiscent of a starry sky. The honed or leathered texture further softens the look for a low key effect.
Jurassic Green – Large scale pebble pattern in tones of soft green and gray with touches of pink. Jurassic Green often features accents of purple, gold or translucent white mica areas, and is an excellent companion for light or medium toned cherry or maple kitchen cabinets. Great for casual beach side kitchen counter tops, islands and bars.
