Sunny, Mellow Yellow

Sunny, Mellow Yellow

Spring time turns my thoughts to warm, sunny days and to the color yellow! Yellow is a mood lifter, can create mellow spaces or intense, bold spaces, and although it’s associated with Spring and Summer, can be a wonderful color to live in year round. Even on a grey,...

Bold and Beautiful Bronze

I find that I like to blog about color quite a bit. I love helping clients pick out paint colors for home or office, and over the years I’ve developed a nice niche in expertise on color selection. I’ve noted in past blogs that I enjoy seeing “Color of the Year”...

Interior Design Inspired by Sea Glass Colors

Here on Cape Cod for the summer, I feel lucky to live in a beautiful spot and I’m inspired by the surroundings. The beach, surf and sky create a low key and lovely design direction with “sea glass” colors – washed out aqua, soft green, cobalt blue, frosted white and...

Crisp and Bright White Paint Colors

Crisp and Bright White Paint Colors

Paint projects large or small often include selection of whites or off whites for trim. If possible, trim paint should be consistent throughout a project to flow from room to room. The wide array of choices can be a bit daunting but can quickly be narrowed down. A...

Gray Still on Top, But Beige Making a Comeback

Gray rules! Over the past few years, and for about 80% of the projects I’ve worked on, gray has been the preferred starting point for color schemes. Gray is everywhere – interior paint colors, cabinetry, quartz and granite counter tops, tile, upholstery fabrics,...
